Certificates of appreciation were given to members of <br /> the Port Commission and Port Commissioners Guy Bennett and Lewis Miller <br /> were there to receive them. <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 8:OOpm to take pictures and serve <br /> refreshments to the winners. Commissioner Piulle announced that the <br /> picture of the Art Contest winners taken this evening will probably be <br /> included in a time capsule to be installed in the new City Hall. <br /> The meeting was reconvened at 8:30pm. <br /> ITEM 5- CARRINGTON HALL UPDATE <br /> Steve Penna stated the Carrington Hall Committee took a tour of Carrington <br /> Hall on May 7 and they were very disheartened with the condition of the <br /> facility. He said the building is in very bad shape and the Committee will be <br /> discussing the results of the tour at their next meeting on June 7. He noted <br /> that a video was made of the facility during the tour and is available for the <br /> Commissioners' review. The committee hopes to formally recommend that <br /> the City Council consider funding a structural study of Carrington Hall. DES, <br /> Inc. has estimated a structural study will cost approximately $25,000.00. <br />
