The Commissioners <br /> discussed the color and flow of the design and several of the Commissioners <br /> felt there should be more children represented in the art work. Vice <br /> Chairperson Filippi said he feels this needs to be discussed further and that he <br /> did not feel comfortable making an approval decision on behalf of the <br /> Commission. <br /> M/S Saye/Ball: To proceed with the art work with the Commission's <br /> comments to be forwarded to the artist and to let her use them as <br /> her guide. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Yes: Piulle, Filippi, Ball, Redington, Saye (5) <br /> No: Britschgi, Distefano (2) <br /> Motion passed. <br /> Chairperson Piulle said she will work the artist and forward all comments <br /> received this evening. Vice Chairperson Filippi said he felt the Commission <br /> should wait to see the revised cartoon and that the Park and Recreation <br /> Commission should also review the revision. <br /> M/S Filippi/Distefano: To rescind the last motion. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Yes: Filippi, Ball, Britschgi, Distefano, Redington (5) <br /> No: Piulle, Saye (2) <br /> Motion passed. <br /> M/S Filippi/Distefano: To revise the cartoon to reflect all public <br /> comments received on the art work. <br /> Park and Recreation Commissioner Davis said he did not want to delay the <br /> process or installation of the art work. Chairperson Piulle felt that in order to <br /> incorporate all the comments received and produce a revised cartoon that the <br /> art work would not be ready for the one year anniversary celebration for the <br /> Red Morton Center in January. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Yes: Filippi, Ball, Britschgi, Distefano, Redington (5) <br /> No: Piulle, Saye (2) <br /> Motion passed. <br /> Chairperson Piulle will send all the information to the artist and ask that the <br /> cartoon be here before the November meeting. <br />
