M/S Filippi/Redington: To extend the meeting for 15 minutes. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> ITEM 8-APPROVAL OF"ALL FOR ONE"PROGRAM <br /> This matter will be discussed at the special meeting on April 11, 1996. <br /> ITEM 9-PUBLICTTY <br /> M/S Filippi/Fischer: To appoint Commissioner Ball to the publicity <br /> sub-committee. <br /> Motion passed. <br /> Commissioner Ball will contact Pat Valentine regarding publicizing the <br /> Cultural Commission's grant process in the Redwood City Quarterly <br /> Newsletter. <br /> ITEM 11-CHILDREN'S ART CONTEST <br /> Supervisor Hannon announced that the entry forms were at the schools and <br /> the deadline for submittal is March 8. <br /> ITEM 12-FOCUS 96/COMMISSION WORKPLAN <br /> A special meeting will be held on Thursday, April 11 at the Red Morton <br /> Center at 11:30am to brainstorm program ideas for FY96-97. The <br /> Commissioners should each bring two ideas for new programs and the ideas <br /> should outline the budget, staff impacts and details of the programs. <br /> Commissioner Distefano has been added to the Dance sub-committee. <br /> ITEM 13 -EVALUATION OF CULTURAL EVENTS HELD DURING THE <br /> PAST 30 DAYS <br /> -Commissioner Ball attended the Arbor Day program at the Veterans <br /> Memorial Senior Center on March 2 and noted it was nicely done and a well <br /> presented program. <br /> -Commissioner Distefano distributed a copy of a recent newspaper article <br /> from the San Francisco Chronicle on Artist Ante Buljan. <br /> -Commissioner Fischer said she was very upset to hear of the dismissal of <br /> Angela Kirkner from the San Mateo County Arts Council. <br />
