She will work with Secretary Monroe to tally the results. <br /> ITEM 9-FAMILIES ARTS DAY UPDATE <br /> Supervisor Hannon said she spoke with Normajean Duran who has <br /> confirmed she has 13 contracts for art booths for the event, has arranged for <br /> t-shirts for staff, designed maps and flyers, and is working on publicity. <br /> Supervisor Hannon is working with the Peninsula Symphony and <br /> scheduling the entertainment for the event. Chairperson Piulle said she has <br /> arranged to receive stuffers for the public gift bags. <br /> ITEM 10- KENT AWARDS UPDATE <br /> Commissioner Redington gave a history of the Kent Awards and handed out <br /> informational brochures on the awards program. He also gave out the 1996 <br /> Kent Awards program at which the Intergenerational Program at John Gill <br /> School was a recipient. <br /> ITEM 11-COMNNNITY WORKROOM DISPLAY AREA <br /> Chairperson Piulle stated she spoke with Director Peter Griffiths about having <br /> a place for the Cultural Commission to display its awards and to use as a <br /> meeting room. A room at the Community Activities Building is being <br /> prepared which will have a bookcase of Commission reference materials, <br /> plaques, and artwork. When the meeting room is ready, the Commissioners <br /> should contact Secretary Denise Monroe to make reservations to use the <br /> room. <br /> ITEM 12-LETTER TO DAVID IRMER <br /> Chairperson Piulle asked that a letter be sent to David Irmer congratulating <br /> him on the impressive planting area recently completed at Sequoia Station. <br />
