Minutes of fhe Civic Cultural Commission Page 4 <br /> Thursday, November 5, 1998 <br /> Commissioner Schenone felt that, as a new Commissioner that she was <br /> concerned that the Tis the Season Program was taking up a major portion of the <br /> CCC sponsored event budget. Commissioner Saye withdrew his second to the <br /> motion. <br /> M/S Del Carlo/Dale to approve $1,800 for advertising of the Tis the Season <br /> Events from the CCC sponsored events category. The motion passed <br /> unanimously. <br /> M/S Dale/Pierce to grant$999 from the CCC small grant budget for the <br /> Northstar Multicultural Holiday Program. The motion passed with <br /> Commissioner Schenone abstaining. <br /> Item 3—Adopt or Reject Dale Proposal on Public Input During Commission <br /> Meetings <br /> M/S Saye/Britschgi to adopt the recommended public input policy as <br /> follows: <br /> allow for br�ef, open discussion by the public speaking through the chair: <br /> if they choose to ask questions, if they choose to make statements, if they <br /> choose to voice opinions. Allow the commission to close public input and <br /> continue the discussion. With groups of 20 allow oral communication and <br /> occasionally ask for public input before taking a vote. Motion passed. <br /> Item 4— Review, Modify and Adopt 98-99 Work Plan, Establishment of <br /> Commission Sub Committees <br /> The Commissioners agreed to adopt the work plan and to disband all existing <br /> committees of the Commission. New committees were established and <br /> Commissioners volunteered to serve as follows: <br /> Children and the Schools — Schenone, Dale, and Redington <br /> Public Art— Britschgi, Saye, and Redington <br /> Cultural Commission Sponsored Events — Pierce, Del Carlo, and Saye <br /> Budget— Del Carlo, Dale, and Britschgi <br /> Planning—Saye, Schenone, and Pierce <br /> The Commissioners asked that an updated sub-committee list be included <br /> in their next packet. <br />
