Minutes of the Civic Cultural Commission Page 3 <br /> Thursday, February 4, 1999 <br /> M/S Pierce/Del Cario: To approve the following grant funding percentages: <br /> Large grants 72%; Small Grants 10%; Contingency 3%; and CCC-sponsored <br /> events 15%. <br /> Motion passed unanimously. <br /> Item 5— Request from Commissioner Dale to facilitate dialogue between <br /> ArtShare and the San Mateo County Historical Museum <br /> Commissioner Dale referred to his memo distributed in the Commission packet <br /> regarding his being approached to facilitate the discussion between ArtShare and <br /> the Historical Museum. He noted that the Historical Association is currently <br /> paying for an architectural study to determine whether the building is earthquake <br /> proof or safe. There is a difference in the designation that impacts whether or <br /> not you can have a show insured at the site. Commissioner Dale is seeking <br /> official support from the Commission in this endeavor. <br /> M/S Britschgi/Schenone: To approve Commissioner Dale taking on a facilitation <br /> role befinreen ArtShare and the San Mateo County Historical Society. <br /> Motion passed unanimously. <br /> Item 6— Request to send letter to the Senior Affairs Commission to get <br /> Input on the Development of Senior Cultural Events <br /> M/S Pierce/Saye: To send a letter to the Senior Affairs Commission asking for <br /> their input on senior cultural programs. <br /> Motion passed unanimously. <br /> Commissioner Pierce agreed to write the letter on behalf of Chairperson <br /> Redington. <br /> Item 7 - Sub-Committee Reports <br /> Chairperson Redington noted that the Sub-Committee listing on the agenda <br /> should change to reflect the new committees developed by the Commission. <br /> `Tis the Season <br /> It was noted that Commissioner Del Carlo had agreed to represent the <br /> Commission. Vice Chairperson Britschgi suggested a stronger connection with <br /> the Redwood City 2000 Downtown Group. <br /> Public Art <br /> Vice Chairperson Britschgi reported on the idea of setting up a fund for public art <br /> purchases. <br />
