446 Animal Shelter -Salaries No. 412-1 $290.00 <br />Building Inspector -Salaries No. 413-1 502.50 <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED and it is hereby ordered that the City Treasurer make <br />the following transfers of funds within the department. <br />$400.00 from the City Manager Salaries No. 402-1 to the City Manager -Supplies <br />and Services No. 402-2 <br />$600.00 from the Police -Supplies and Services No. 410-2 to Police -Motor <br />Vehicle No. 410-3 <br />$300.00 from the Fire Department Salaries No. 411-2 to Fire Department Supplies <br />and Services <br />$1,000.00 from the Street Department Capital Outlay No. 414-5 to Street <br />Department Supplies and Services No. 414-2 Mao <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at its regular <br />meeting held on the 7th day of June, 1948, by the following vote: <br />AYES and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen: BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, HOLMQUIST, MORGAN, SPILLERS, SWIFT, and Mayor <br />WERDER. <br />NOES and opposed to the adoption and passage of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT: Councilmen: NONE <br />ATTEST: <br />RALPH S DODGE, <br />Clerk of the City of Redwood City <br />W. WERDER <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />COUNCILMAN BRITSCHGI, in looking over the claims observed that the Yacht Harbor's water <br />bill was considerable. Assistant Engineer Winters stated that the boat works might <br />be using more than usual, and on suggestion of Mayor Werder, Mr. Winters agreed to <br />check this the first thing in the morning. <br />COUNCILMAN BRITSCHGI stated that now the deed had been accepted it would be necessary to <br />get the Perry Street Parking Lot in shape and the City Manager should be authorized <br />to contact meter companies. City Manager Rolison reported he had contacted them. <br />City Collector Perrin stated a representative had been in today and would return <br />next Monday. City Manager Rolison inquired what the Council desired as to the <br />resurfacing. <br />COUNCILMAN SPILLERS thought the Red Feathers site should be cleaned up. Fire Chief Lodi <br />informed the Council that the Red Feather Company were moving debris out now and <br />cutting up steel. <br />COUNCILMAN SPILLERS INQUIRED ABOUT RENTAL OF CARS FOR WEED ABATEMENT. It was explained <br />there was no equipment to assign to this job while carrying out the street program. <br />The man hired for this job supplied the truck at $5.00 a day and sharpened the <br />blades besides his regular work; furthermore, expense will be charged to the <br />property owner, or assessed to the job. <br />CLAIMS Nos. 3686 to 3799 inclusive in the amount of $50,770.19 having been checked in <br />detail were submitted for payment. Councilman Swift moved that the claims be paid, <br />seconded by Councilman Morgan, and carried. <br />CITY ENGINEER JAIN STATED THE TRAFFIC AND SAFETY COMMISSION asked for recommendation on <br />removal of the bus loading zone east of the railroad tracks on Broadway as there <br />
