4 54 said City of Redwood City sell and convey by deed to H. HIGAKI the real property <br />hereinabove referred to situated in the City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, <br />State of California, and more particularly described as follows: <br />Lots 22 and 23 in Block 2 as shown on that certain map entitled <br />"Amended map, resubdivision of Lot No. 46 REESE SUBDIVISION OF <br />A PORTION OF THE REDWOOD FARM" filed in the office -of the County <br />Recorder of San Mateo County May 11, 1911 in Book 7 of Maps at <br />page 40, <br />for said sum of $650.00, paid concurrently with the delivery of said deed. <br />FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the Clerk of this City be, and they are, <br />hereby authorized to execute such deed for and on behalf of said City. w�rr <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular <br />meeting thereof held on the 21st day of June, 1948, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing Resolution: <br />Councilmen: BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, HOLM11UIST, MORGAN, SPILLERS AND Mayor WERDER. <br />NOES, Councilmen: NONE { <br />ABSENT, Councilmen: SWIFT. <br />ATTEST: <br />RALPH S. WERDER <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />Councilman Spillers moved that the third bid of $320 by Cnmille Santos be rejected, <br />seconded by Councilman Holmquist. After explanation from City Engineer Jain why it <br />would be inadvisable to sell this third niece of property Mayor Werder suggested <br />that Mr. Santos should be informed by the City Clerk that if the City should widen <br />this street, this piece of property would be reduced in area considerably. Motion <br />carried. <br />NEW BRA14CH LIBRARY. Councilman Granger stated that information had been conveyed during <br />the Council meeting at this date that the Library Board would not meet until after <br />July 4th. Councilman Granger moved that the report concerning the proposed new <br />branch library be placed on the agenda until after July 4th, at which time they <br />would meet with the Library Board, seconded by Councilman Morgan. Councilmen <br />Spillers and Granger were both to be notified of this meeting with the Library <br />Board. motion carried. <br />REX BENHAM INQUIRED WHAT THE CITY INTENDED TO DO ABOUTA TREE ON CLEVELAND. Mayor Werder <br />informed Mr. Benham that it would be necessary for him to be specific as to the <br />location of the tree and why it should be removed, that this was the first time <br />the subject had been brought to their attention. It was learned that the tree <br />was in the 1000 block and considered a hazard. The matter was referred to the <br />City Engineer and the City Manager for investigation. <br />ABATEMENT 537-541 MIDDLEFIELD ROAD, BENEDICT AND ANGELA ASSENZA, 734 Menlo Avenue, Menlo <br />Park. Councilman Morgan moved that this be continued on agenda, seconded by Coun- <br />cilman Holmquist, and carried. <br />REPORT ON PORT COMMISSION, RECREATION COM14ISSION AND SEQUOIA YACHT CLUB IN REGARDS TO <br />THE YACHT HARBOR. City Manager reported that Mr. McCarl, Port Manager, had phoned <br />on Saturday and suggested that a committee be appointed by Mayor Werder a.A . to contact � � _ <br />
