The committee was to meet and report back to the Council. <br />The budget figures had been held up relative to the Yacht Harbor. City Manager stated <br />dangerous. It was decided that as many Councilmen as possible would join the committee <br />on the following morning. Councilman Spillers was in favor of keeping the Yacht <br />Harbor open and make minor repairs so that people could use it for the summer. <br />AMENDMENT TO ANIMAL SHELTER ORDINANCE. City Attorney Currie advised the amendment pro- <br />vided an increase in fees effective as of July lat. Councilman Britschgi introduced <br />the amendment to the ordinance, seconded by Councilman Holmquist, and carried. <br />ORDINANCE PROVIDING DISASTER COMMITTEE. Councilman Granger moved that an affidavit of <br />publication be filed, seconded by Councilman Morgan, and carried. Councilman Granger <br />moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried on roll call. Council- <br />man Swift noted absent. <br />ABATER'IENT PROCEEDINGS, OLD POOLE PROPERTY, 932, 9279831 JEFFERSON, Lot 2, and north 40 <br />feet of Lot 3, fronts 90 feet on Jefferson Avenue, belonging to Abraham George and <br />Betsy Frank, 90 Cedro Way, San Francisco, old storage building; in front and old <br />barn in rear. City Attorney Currie admitted he had overlooked the fact that this <br />was on the agenda and would prepare a resolution. Councilman Morgan moved that hear- <br />ings on the Poole property, the Frank property and the Fabro property be duly and <br />regularly continued on the agenda until July 6th, at which time the necessary resolu- <br />tions would be ready for consideration. Motion seconded by Councilman Granger, and <br />carried. <br />CITY MANAGER ROLISON RECOMMENDED IN ACCORDANCE WITH FIRE CHIEF LODI'S REQUEST that 950 be <br />transferred from Supplies and Service of the Electrical Department to Motor Vehicles <br />due to the fact that the Motor Vehicle fund had run short as two new men were working <br />full time in the Electrical Department. This equipment being used more, upkeep, gas <br />and oil consumption required more funds. Councilman Holmquist offered the resolution <br />and moved adoption that the required amount be transferred, seconded by Councilman <br />that an allowance was being made on the budget and that any revenue was turned back <br />to provide operating funds. Faulty catwalks, ramps, piling and the general condition <br />was discussed relative to keeping the Harbor open, the City's responsibility and <br />liability, also the responsibility of Yacht Club and Port Commission. Red Morton, <br />Recreation Director, informed the Council that one gangway had been closed and that <br />another should be closed the next day, if help was not available to put in condition. <br />City Manager expressed concern for the City's liability, should anyone be hurt due <br />to existing condition. Mr. L. M. Spears informed the Council he had worked in <br />�- <br />Yachting for a long time and thought the condition of the Yacht Harbor was very bad. <br />Councilman Britschgi objected to spending money to put it in condition and was in <br />favor of closing the harbor in effort to get some action. Mr. Davies of the Yacht <br />Club did not think the condition was too bad and that it could be remedied.
