466 After discussion the Council decided as to the water system that a bond would be <br />required for all the improvements in the area including the water system. Coun- <br />cilman Spillers moved acceptance of map on the three conditions listed above, the <br />City Engineer's approval, subject to conditions of the Planning Commission and <br />filing of subdivider's bond, seconded by Councilman Granger. Motion carried on roll <br />call, Mayor Werder not voting. Councilman Britschgi noted absent. <br />APPROVAL OF FINAL MAP OF REDWOOD TERRACE No. 3, SUBJECT TO CERTAIN CONDITIONS. This was <br />exactly the same situation as the foregoing except that the Land Development Company <br />owned this area. No action was taken on the play area to be provided as the five <br />acres would suffice for both projects. As this was ready adoption, Councilman <br />Granger moved that the final map of Redwood Terrace No. 3, as presented be accepted <br />subject to approval of City Engineer Jain and to the subdivider's providing appro- <br />priate bonds for improvements in the area as provided, including the water system, <br />seconded by Councilman Holmquist, and carried. Councilman 14organ stated he honed <br />the Council would not accept any more annexation property to the City until it was <br />at least on a paying basis, that eventually this would break the City Treasury. <br />RESOLUTION No. 592. RE11OVAL OF BUS STOP IN FRONT OF THE TOWN SHOP, near the intersection <br />on Broadway at 2425 Broadway, Police Department to take any steps to eliminate any <br />signs on the curb or painting on the curb. Councilman Granger offered and moved <br />adoption of the resolution, seconded by Councilman Holmquist, and carried on roll <br />call. Councilman Britschgi noted absent. <br />RE SOLUTION No. 592• <br />ABOLISHING BUS STOP <br />RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Redwood City, that the bus stop now <br />located on the southerly side of Broadway at or near the intersection of Broadway ..rl <br />with Arguello Street and located in front of the property numbered 2425 Broadway, <br />be, and the same is, hereby abolished. <br />FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Police Department shall take the necessary steps to <br />eliminate any signs or paint on the curb which indicate that the aforesaid location <br />is a bus stop. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular <br />meeting thereof held on the 6th day of July, 1948, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen: GRANGER, HOL1.1QUIST, MORGAN, SPILLERS, SWIFT, and Mayor WERDER. <br />NOES, Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT, Councilmen: B RITSCHGI <br />W. This resolution authorized the City Manager to sign a contract with <br />he State, the City to receive $125 per month for the period commencing July 1st, <br />1948, to and including June 30, 1948, for maintenance of the Union Cemetery. <br />Councilman Granger offered and moved adoption of resolution, seconded by Councilman <br />Holmquist, and carried on roll call.
