City Manager added that in re to cost of the road the National Guard would stand one-half of the cost of construction and one-half of the cost r— I of maintenance and this would be a rather substantial sum as this may cope between $2000 to $5000. 6.». Four points were stated by City Attorney in favor of the City were: (1) Use of the building. (2) r' t. City may ultimately buy building. (3) If armory is not built City will still have the property. Councilman Granger moved that affidavit of publication on notice calling for bids be filed, seconded by Councilman Spillers, and carried. Councilman Spillers moved that the report of the City Manager who was appointed as appraiser be filed and that the Council go on record concurring in his statement on the sale of the property to National Guard, seconded by Councilman Swift, and carried. Councilman Swift offered resolution and moved adoption awarding bid to the State of California with all conditions set forth including the approval of the -Mayor, City Manager, and Building inspector on the type of building and setting forth the amount to be expended for the building, seconded by CouncilmEnSpillers, and carried on roll call.
