V WHEREAS the Council of the City of Redwood City, did, on the 14th day of August, <br />194b, pass and adopt Resolution of Intention No. 194b-3, to order the following work <br />to be done and improvements to be made in said City of Redwood City, to -wit: <br />Grading and paving the following streets and portions of streets by <br />constructing a six inch waterbound macadam base and one and one-half inch <br />asphalt concrete surface; construct combined concrete curbs and gutters and <br />four inch cement sidewalks five feet wide along each side of each of such <br />streets; grading and paving shall be done and constructed on all streets and <br />Intersections of streets herein mentioned as follows: <br />a. Linden Street between a line drawn between the most southerly point <br />of Lot 5 in Block A and the most easterly point of Lot 7 of Block B of Boyd <br />& Kent's Addition as shown on recorded map thereof, and the terminus of said <br />Libden Street in Park Street. <br />b. Park Street from the northeasterly line of Cypress Street to the <br />terminus thereof in Linden Street; <br />c. Center Street from the southwesterly line of E1 Camino Real to the <br />northeasterly line of Murray Court; <br />d. Madrone Street between the southeasterly boundary of Boyd & Kent's <br />Addition as shown on recorded map thereof and the northwesterly line of <br />Park Street; <br />e. Cypress Street between the southeasterly boundary of Boyd & Kent's <br />Addition as shown on recorded map thereof and the northwesterly line of <br />Park Street; <br />f. McEvoy Street for the entire length thereof; <br />WHEREAS the Council of said City of Redwood City did, on the 12th day of <br />February, 1948, order Notice of Filing of the Assessment for the Improvement of <br />above named streets and portions of streets and setting a time for hearing in the <br />Council Chamber of the City Hall of the City of Redwood City at the hour of 8:00 <br />o'clock P.M. on the 15th day of March, 1945, at which time all persons interested <br />in the work done, or in the assessment, will be heard by said City Council, and <br />WHEREAS, at the day, hour and place above mentioned, when and where objections <br />could be made as aforesaid, nine written objections were made to said work and <br />improvements or to the -extent of the district to be assessed therefor; and <br />WHEREAS, said Council did proceed to hear and consider the same, and did, <br />thereafter, duly and regularly continue hearing to the regular meeting thereof <br />held on the 5th day of April, 1948; <br />WHEREAS, said Council did further proceed to hear and consider aforementioned <br />objections and one additional written protest; <br />THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redw000d City and said <br />Council does hereby determine and declare that said protests and objections were not <br />and are not made by the owners of one-half of the area of the property in the <br />district to be assessed for said work and improvements; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by said Council that -siad written protests and objections, <br />and each and all thereof, be and the same are hereby overruled. <br />The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the Council of <br />Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof held on the 5th day of April, 1948, by <br />the follwing vote; <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing Resolution: <br />Councilmen: BRITSCHGI, GRANGER,HOLMQUIST, McNULTY, SWIFT, WERDER and Mayor HILTON. <br />NOES, <br />ABSENT., <br />ATTEST: <br />Councilmen: NONE <br />Councilmen: NONE <br />RALPH S.
