Councilman Werder suggested that City Attorney check into <br />ordinances of other cities and bring back some recommendations. Mrs. Frank Delucchi <br />appeared and stated she attended the Bailey Bros Circus and felt the citizens did <br />not have adequate protection in this instance. <br />CLAIMS Nos. 3385 to 3479 inclusive in the amount of $46,459.45 having been checked in <br />Wad <br />detail were submitted for approval. It was moved that claims be paid by Councilman <br />McNulty, seconded by Councilman Britschgi, and carried. <br />FIRE HYDRANTS, SCOTT AVENUE, REDWOOD VILLAGE. Mr. Travers stated need for fire hydrants <br />in Redwood Village. Councilman Holmquist moved that Water Department locate the ^" <br />two fire hydrants needed which were included in the former plan, Fire Department <br />to work with them. Motion received a second by Councilman Granger, and carried. <br />MR. TRAVERS ALSO STATED THAT UNDERGROUND CONSTRUCTION COMPANY cut up sidewalk on their <br />lot and haven't replaced it. There is a 2" or 3" deep rut. They also broke a <br />sanitary lead in a main just inside the village. This -had a screw lock on it which <br />was buried. Councilman Granger stated the construction company would be required <br />to put the sidewalk in and repair sewer lateral. Referred to City Engineer. <br />COUNOILMAN WERDER moved adjournment to 8:00 P. M. Tuesday, April 20th, 1948, seconded by <br />Councilman Swift, and carried. <br />AiLPH S. Werder, Mayor W.I.W. <br />Hilton and City Clerk Ralph S. Dodge. Also present were: City Manager E. A. <br />Rolison, City Attorney C. B. Currie, Chief of Police C. L. Collins, Administrative <br />Assistant Richard D. Miller, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Assistant Engineer <br />H. L. Winter, Assessor -Auditor John J. Brophy, Fire Chief J. L. Lodi. <br />MAYOR HILTON announced this was an adjourned meeting to canvassthe votes of the recent <br />election and for any other business that may come before the Council. <br />COMMUNICATION FROM G. G. WHIPPLE, Assistant General Credit Manager of the Paraffine <br />Companies, Inc. 475 Brannan Street, San Francisco 19, California submitted claim <br />of $29.78 for damage to their GMC 1947 truck by Redwood City truck on March 19, <br />1948. Councilman Werder moved that claim be denied and matter be referred to our <br />insurance carrier, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. <br />RESOL'TTION No. 567. City attorney expalined that on adoption of this Resolution author- <br />izing reconveyance of real estate, Lot 11, Block 46, Central Park 2, to the State <br />NOR <br />as soon as returned and filed the City will be compensated in full -for delinquent <br />row <br />taxes on this property.
