40 i with the law, on the 13th day of April, 1948, as aforesaid, and that the places for said election were kept open during the time required by law, and said election was held and conducted and the votes thereat received and canvassed, and the returns thereof ascertained, determined and declared, all as provided by law and the charter of said city; and WHEREAS, on this day, to -wit: Tuesday, the 20th day of April 1948, at the hour of 8 o'clock p.m. on said day, the City Council of the City of Redwood City met at its usual place of meeting and has canvassed the returns of said general municipal election as required by law and the result of said election is found to be as hereinafter stated and set forth; IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND DECLARED by the City Council of the City of Redwood City, as follows: 1.
