Councilman Britsengi moved filing of affidavit of publication on <br />ordinance No. 445 amending personnel ordinance, seconded by Councilman Holmquist, and <br />carried. City Attorney stated that ordinance as published required an amendment of <br />clerical omission, that a section be added which provides that Personnel Board <br />appears where Board of Review appeared. Councilman Holmquist moved adoption of <br />ordinance as amended, seconded by Councilman Britschgi. Motion carried on roll call. <br />Councilman Swift noted absent. <br />NEW AND USED CAR DEALERS ORDINAINCE. Councilman Holmquist moved that affidavit of publi- <br />cation be filed, seconded by Councilman Britschgi, and carried. Mr. Van Buren pro- <br />tested that one or two things appeared on the ordinance that did not appear on the <br />original one, regarding time new car dealers would become exempt from license fee. <br />City Attorney Currie and Mayor Werder informed Mr. Van Buren this ordinance was <br />drawn up and agreed to by respective attorneys for new and used car dealers. Coun- <br />cilman Granger offered and moved adoption of ordinance, seconded by Councilman <br />Britschgi, and carried on roll call. Councilman Swift noted absent. <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONTRACT REGARDING U14ION CEMETERY. City Attorney Currie has had <br />considerable correspondence with the State regarding care of this cemetery, resolu- <br />tion authorizes City Manager to enter into this contract providing that $195 be <br />expended for May and June and $97.50 for h,�lf of April, $1500 to be set up in State <br />of California's budget for this care next year. Councilman Granger offered resolu- <br />tion and moved adoption, providing City's budget be compiled to earmark the amount <br />for sole maintenance of the Cemetery, seconded by Councilman Morgan. Carried on <br />toll call. Councilman Swift noted absent. <br />RES 0 LUT I 0 N No. 571 <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONTRACT FOR MAINTENANCE OF UNION <br />CEMETERY BY THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />WHEREAS the State of California, through its Chief, Building and Grounds <br />Division, Department of Finance, has requested the City of Redwood City to maintain <br />Union Cemetery; and <br />WHEREAS the State of California has agreed to pay to the City of Redwood City <br />the sum of One Humdred Ninety -Five Dollars ($195.00) per month for the period from <br />April 15, 1947 to and including June 30, 1948; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Manager of the City of Redwood <br />City be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute the contract dated April 27, 1948, <br />by and between. the State of California, through Chief, Building and Grounds Divi- <br />sion, Department of Finance, and the City of Redwood City, for the maintenance of <br />the real property owned by the State of California and commonly known as Union <br />Cemetery, which cemetery consists of approximately six (6) acres in the City of <br />Redwood City, San i4a.teo County, California. <br />I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true copy of Resolution No. 5.71, <br />adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 3rd day of <br />May, 1949, at the Council C hambers in the City Hall, Redwood City, California. <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and the seal of said City this <br />17th day of May, 1948. <br />RALPH S.
