Mr. Hockensmith is to appear before the Planning Commission with application. <br />COUNCILMAN BRITSCHGI INQUIRED AS TO HOW THE CITY MIGHT GET THEIR $5000 back on Broadway <br />No. 3. City Attorney is to report on this. <br />COUNCILMAN HOLMQUIST THOUGHT TWO PIECES OF PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY should be cleaned up; <br />1. Across the street from the Police Station, a house that rents for $30 a month <br />could be torn down, some of the trees removed, gravel spread and the lot used for a <br />temporary parking lot; 2. Surplus store on Broadway near creek, the rent is $60, <br />should also be torn down by the city to show good faith regarding city property. <br />It was moved by Councilman Holmquist that these buildings be torn down, seconded <br />by Councilman Granger. Mayor Werder added the usual steps would be taken, proper <br />notice be given, etc. Motion carried. <br />COUNCILIiAN HOLMQ'TIST REPORTED THAT SEVERAL TOWNS ON PENINSULA HAVE TRUCKS THAT PICK UP <br />brush etc. for their citizens, gratis: This would eliminate burning of brush in <br />streets. Councilman Britschgi stated that San Mateo and Burlingame do this and that <br />we might find out how they operate. This was put on the agenda, asking City Manager <br />Rolison to report at that time. <br />RESOLUTION No. 575.
