$1,000 group Life Insurance be increased to $2,000, to modernize plan. Under 425 <br />discussion Councilman Britschgi stated that employees have their organization and <br />suggested that two members of the Council meet with the employees group to discuss <br />the matter. Councilman Morgan asked if the City paid anything toward this. City <br />Clerk stated the city paid one-half of the premium. Councilman Britschgi moved <br />that it be referred to the employees for further study and a report made to the Coun- <br />oils it being the consensus of opinion that this was of direct interest to the <br />employees. Motion carried. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL OF APPLICATION OF M. J. CASTAGNOLA TO RESUB- <br />DIVIDE Lot g, Block E. Woodside Acres No. 1 into two parcels of 75 x 255 feet. Coun- <br />ice^ oilman Spillers moved approval of recommendation, seconded by Councilman Holmquist, <br />and carried. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED DISAPPROVAL OF APPLICATION OF ELMER HARTSOUGH TO RESUB- <br />DIVIDE Lot 4, Block 10, Oak Knoll Manor into j lots, as this would be detrimental <br />to the area to divide Lot 4 into more than 2 parcels which had been previously <br />approved. There being no objection, Mayor Werder ordered communication file. <br />CHANGING OF STREET NAMES RECOMMENDED BY PLANNING COMMISSION ON May 10, 1949, re -affirming <br />the previous action on the following: <br />1. Hampton Court and Louisiana to Hampton Avenue <br />2. Hampton Way to McNulty Way <br />3. Hampton Lane to Ryan Lane <br />Halsey to McGarvey Avenue <br />Councilman Britschgi moved that City Attorney be instructed to draft necessary <br />ordinance to change names of foregoing streets, seconded by Councilman Swift, and <br />r__ <br />carried. <br />PORTION OF TENTATIVE MAP OF WOODSIDE TERRACE WHICH HAD BEEN RELUCTANTLY APPROVED BY <br />PLANNING COMMISSION subject to eight conditions, submitted for Council's approval. <br />Planning Commission stated further that they would not approve any additional lots <br />in this area until satisfactory arrangements had been worked out regarding the creek, <br />school site and recreation areas. Councilman Britschgi stated he thought there <br />was an understanding that the Council would do nothing until the water situation, <br />City Attorney stated that on Thursday of last week a representative of the Land <br />Development Company called on him and he received another call late Friday that they <br />are still working on it. In regard to the tentative map of Woodside Terrace trans- <br />mitted by the Planning Commission, it was brought out that only a portion of the <br />map is being presented for approval, and a new map will have to be drafted for final <br />�- approval, according to the requirements. City Engineer Jain advised that tentative <br />maps are approved pending compliance with certain specific requirements and that a <br />final map should be submitted to the Council. It was pointed out that in this case, <br />the case of Woodside Terrace, the Planning Commission is requiring that the final <br />map also be submitted to them prior to final consideration by the Council. Council- <br />man Britschgi suggested putting this on the agenda. Mayor Werder stated if there <br />were no objections, the matter would be carried on the agenda for a report from the <br />City Attorney. <br />APPLICATION OF HUGO A. COMPISI, 7040 Geary Baulevard, San Francisco, to distribute Ice <br />Cream novelties packed by Borden Ice Cream Company to be sold within the City Limits <br />from refrigerated moving truck. Councilman Swift moved that applicant be informed <br />that under License Ordinance No. 447, he may secure license to operate from License <br />
