<br />Councilman Granger moved that owner of property be notified to comply with all require-
<br />ments, failure to do so resulting in abatement proceedings, seconded by Councilman
<br />Morgan, and carried.
<br />ABATEMENT 520 ARGUELLO STREET, FABRO BUILDING, permit issued on November 7, 1947 to re-
<br />model. Job was started by Hartung and Selo who are not building any more due to
<br />financial difficulty. City Attorney and -Building Inspector were to find out
<br />whether or not permit had expired. There is an old building in back of this on
<br />which the Council wished to take action. Councilman Granger moved that abatement
<br />proceedings be started, seconded by Councilman Holmquist, and carried.
<br />ABATEMENT 996 MAIN STREET, STORE BUILDING, CARLO AND GINA FERRANDO, 1515 Whipple Avenue '
<br />1. No foundation, 2. No studs in framing, just board and batten, 3. In dilapidated
<br />condition, 4. This building cannot be made to conform to the Fire District it is in,
<br />5. Building is unoccupied and is a fire hazard, per Building Inspectors report.
<br />Councilman Granger moved that the Building Inspector be authorized to post :this
<br />building, seconded by Councilman Swift, and carried.
<br />ABATEMENT 615 BRADFORD, BENEDICT AND ANGELA ASSENZA, 734 Menlo Park Avenue, Menlo Park.
<br />Building Inspector reported investigation of this five room dwelling and conditions
<br />are about the same as their property mentioned above at 537-541 Middlefield Road.
<br />Councilman Granger moved that the owner be notified that repairs and corrections
<br />must be made to make safe for tenancy, failure to do so would result in abatement
<br />proceedings, seconded by Council Britschgi, and carried.
<br />ABATEMENT OLD POOLE PROPERTY, 923, 927 and 831 JEFFERSON, Lot 2 and north 40 feet of
<br />Lot 3, fronts 90 feet on Jefferson, belonging to Abraham George and Betsy Frank,
<br />90 Cedro Way, San Francisco, old storage building in front and old barn in rear,
<br />1. No foundations under any of the buildings, 2. Wiring in very poor condition,
<br />3. Wood structures with board and batten walls, 4. Plumbing in bad condition,
<br />5. Wood shingles on roof, 6. Buildings do not comply with Fire District which they
<br />are in, abatement recommended on this and their property which consists of sheds
<br />behind the Sequoia Hotel on main Street; north 21 feet of Lot 61 Mezesville,
<br />1. Buildings are in dilapidated condition 2. Buildings are vacant and constitute
<br />fire hazard, 3. Buildings do not meet the requirements of Fire Zone No. 1 and
<br />cannot be made to do so. Councilman Granger moved that proceedings for abatement
<br />be started, seconded by Councilman Spillers, and carried.
<br />ABATEMENT OF LOWN PROPERTY, BROADWAY, FURNITURE STORE, RESTAURANT AND GROCERY. Building
<br />Inspector advised that six months notice to tenants would expire by the first now
<br />Council meeting in August.
<br />RESOLUTION .577. Councilman Holmquist offered and moved adoption of resolution author-
<br />izing Mayor and City Clerk to sign agreement of First Supplemental Memorandum of
<br />Agreement -for Expenditure of Gas Tax Allocation for Major City Streets, seconded
<br />by Councilman Britschgi, and carried on roll call.

<br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL -OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ADOPTING BUDGET
<br />AND APPROVING FIRST SUPPLEMENTAL MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT FOR EXPENDITURE OF
<br />GAS TAX ALLOCATION FOR MAJOR CITY STREETS.
