assessments, and deeds conveying all the said real property to said City have 4 33 <br />been recorded, and this City Council deems it advisable that said property and <br />each and all of the various parcels thereof be sold in the manner hereinafter stated; <br />and <br />WHEREAS said City Council has determined that the minimum amount for which each <br />of said parcels of land shall be sold is the amount set opposite the description of <br />each of the parcels hereinafter described; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that <br />the real property hereinafter described, and each and every parcel thereof, be sold <br />for at least the minimum amount set opposite the description of each parcel; that <br />said property be sold at private sale by the City Collector on and after the 16th <br />irr day of June, 1948, in the office of the City Collector in the City Hall, in this <br />City, upon written bids or offers, each of which shall be accompanied by a deposit <br />of at least ten per cent (10%) of the offered purchase price, subject to the right <br />of said City to reject any and all offers. <br />FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Clerk of said City give notice of such intended <br />sale by publishing a notice thereof once a week for at least three (3) successive <br />weeks in the Redwood City Tribune, and by giving a copy of said notice to the party <br />to whom the said property was last assessed on the assessment rolls of said City, <br />Imo. postage prepaid and registered, at his last known post office address, at least <br />twenty-one days before the date of said intended sale. <br />Said property is situated in the City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, <br />State of California, more particularly described as follows: <br />Lot Block Subdivision Minimum Price <br />13 49 Central Park No. 2 $350.00 <br />22 & 23 2 Resub Lot 46 of Reese 600.00 <br />Subdivision <br />3 1 Magruders resub of Lot 23 <br />W. W. & M. Sub. 320.00 <br />I hereby certify the foregoing to be a true copy of Resolution No. 580, <br />adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th day <br />of May, 1948, at the Council Chambers in the City Hall, Redwood City, California. <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF I have hereunto set my hand and the seal of said City <br />this 24th day of May, 1948. <br />RICHARD D. MILLER <br />City Clerk of the City of Redwood City, and <br />Ex -Officio Clerk of the Council thereof. <br />CITY ATTORNEY ADVISED THAT THERE WAS NOT ENOUGH MONEY TO COMPLETE TRANSACTION IN TITLE <br />COMPANY FOR THE PERRY STREET PARKING LOT. They were short $200 or $300. Owner <br />selling the lot is willing to leave the deed in the Title Company if he is assured <br />that the City will guarantee the shortage of funds. Councilman Britschgi explained <br />that the money would soon be in, since some of the merchants were out of town at the <br />present time. City Attorney suggested that the Council go on*record authorizing <br />the payment of the $25,000 stating that the balance would be underwritten by the <br />City. Councilman Britschgi so moved, seconded by Councilman Morgan, and carried. <br />CITY ATTORNEY STATED THAT HE WAS PREPARING A RESOLUTION SETTING PERIOD OF June 19th to <br />July 5th as "DRESS -UP DAYS" in connection with the July 3rd, 4th and 5th Rodeo and <br />Celebration. It was explained by Francis Britschgi that the first meeting in June <br />would be time enough to introduce this resolution. <br />COUNCILMAN GRANGER THOUGHT SOME ACTION SHOULD BE TAKEN ON ABATEMENT OF CITY PROPERTY. <br />Councilman Morgan moved that the tenant of the Surplus Store, on Broadway, be <br />.. r <br />notified to vacate in 30 days, seconded by Councilman Holmquist, and carried. <br />CLAIMS Nos. 3583 to 3655 inclusive having been checked in detail were submitted for <br />payment.
