In the event that any of the program partners described herein(SHD, CITY,or RCSD)discontinue participation in the <br /> program described herein, the obligations of SHD and CITY to perform under this Agreement automatically <br /> terminate. <br /> 4. If this Agreement is terminated during any grant cycle,CITY shall return any unspent grant funds to SHD. <br /> IV.Goals and Mutual Objectives <br /> Understanding these limitations,for Year 2 of the SHD granting funding,these are the goals and objectives: <br /> Goal I: Target Schools- City will conduct programming at the 4 schools listed below during the 2013-14 academic year. If <br /> opportunity presents itself to expand to other schools this grants cycle,an amendment to this agreement will be made.The budget <br /> is based on 140 days of PE+ Instruction and 30 days of Recess and Lunch Support. An additional 30 days of Recess/Lunch <br /> support solely will be provided during the 1st two weeks of Star-Testing and last two weeks of school (4 hours/day-2 staf�. The <br /> curriculum ends May 30th,2014. It is anticipated that <br /> PCC will maintain a Program Coordinator,to oversee and manage its program and PE Coaches.City will recruit for its <br /> program up to twelve PE coaches,and conduct all hiring processes of staff including background and safety checks, <br /> as further described herein. <br /> Goal 3: Staff Training: CITY will arrange training for coaches employed by CITY. The year-round training of coaches would <br /> take place during a mandatory Back to School training session and subsequent biweekly training sessions. City and <br /> PCC coaching staff will be trained under the umbrella of the"Physical Education Team".All staff will be trained with <br /> the objective to reinforce to students the joy of being active and healthy, while delivering an exceptional physical <br /> education program that meets the California State requirements for PE.Coaches may be pulled from recess support <br /> if necessary to attend training I hour per week. Training sessions will focus on four different areas: <br /> 1.Community&leadership development <br /> 2.Teaching methods <br /> 3. Program curriculum <br /> 4. Nutrition Education <br /> Goal 4: PE Components:The PE+program for RCSD schools will be designed to ensure that the social,emotional,physical, <br /> and learning needs of the students are being met during their time in PE.The program will provide students with the <br /> knowledge, attitudes, motor skills, behavioral skills, and confidence to participate in physical activity and aims to <br /> establish active lifestyles among students that continue into and throughout their adult lives.
