7.A. - Page 226
Staff's response: Hexagon, the City's traffic subconsultant, has determined that
there is no impact (secondary or otherwise) to Route 101 that has not already been
identified in the Draft EIR's traffic analysis. The traffic model and methodology used
to analyze traffic impacts from the Stanford project takes into account all re-
distribution and displacements of traffic onto parallel and connecting streets and
intersections outside the immediate vicinity of the development area.
3. CCAG input: Provide C/CAG with an annual report for transportation demand
management (TDM) elements implemented. This could be included as part of the
MMRP implemented by the City.
Staff's response: The Final Precise Plan (pages 84-86) and MMRP include CCAG in
the ongoing TDM reporting by the applicant.
4. CCAG input: Consider working with the developer on reducing the availability of
parking and also develop a monitoring program for parking facilities implemented as
part of the project.
Staff's response: The number of parking stalls proposed by the Project is already
below the City's parking standard (4,500 parking stalls provided where 4,960 to
5,060 stalls would normally be required). The Stanford Precise Plan (pages 84-85)
contains a parking monitoring program (annual parking use studies) that is tied to
required TDM and other mitigation measures to ensure that the Project has
adequate parking.
If you have any question regarding this letter, feel free to contact me at (650) 780-7372.
Regards,
Jessica Manzi
Senior Transportation Coordinator
Redwood City
CC: Blake Lyon, Planning Manager
Maureen Riordan, Senior Planner
