8.B. - Page 73 <br /> 4.13 POPULATION AND HOUSING <br /> 4.13.1 Existin� Settin� <br /> According to California Department of Finance 2010 census data, Redwood City's population for <br /> 2010 was 76,815 persons. In 2010,there were 27,957 households with 2.69 persons per household.3Z <br /> The Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG)projects the population for Redwood City to be <br /> 92,400 in 2030.33 As of 2008,the City had appro�mately 52,000 jobs (with an additiona15,700 jobs <br /> located within the City's sphere of influence) and an active labor force of appro�mately 43,600 <br /> people. <br /> The jobs/housing balance is the relationship between the number of housing units required as a result <br /> of local jobs and the number of residential units available in the City. This relationship is quantified <br /> by the jobs/employed resident ratio. When the ratio reaches 1.0, a balance is struck between the <br /> supply of local housing and local jobs.
