2 Envirosamental An�lysis <br /> • All exposed surfaces (e.g.,stag�ng areas, soil piles,graded areas,and unpaved access <br /> roads) si�all be watered two times per day. �'atering shall not be reguired for storage <br /> and trea�rnent of saturated Bay Mud prior to mixing and disposal. <br /> • All lzaul tYUCks transporting soil, sand,ar other loose material off-site shall be covered. <br /> • Conrractors shall wash down all vehicles prior ta leaving the szte to prevent mud or dirt <br /> from being ttacked-out onto public roads. All visible mud or dirt tracked onto adjacent <br /> public roads shall be removed using wet powex vacutun street sweepers at least once pex <br /> day. Dry power sweeping equipment shall not be used for tracked mud ot dirt near the <br /> project entrance. Wash down water shall be collected onsite and directed away from the <br /> storm drain system and the creek. Gravel-filled bags shall be used to prevent runoff <br /> from vacuum sweeping��om entering the starm drain system. Wash water may be <br /> �icked up by tl�e vacuum unit. <br /> • All vehicle speeds on unpaved roads shall be limited to 15 mph. <br /> • All roadwaps, drivewaps, and sidewalks to be paved shall be completed as soon as <br /> possible. Foundations for the pump stat[on,reta.inu�g wa21s,and pedes�rian path shall be <br /> laid as soon as possible after grading unless seeding or soil binders are used. <br /> • Icl�ing times shall be minimized either by shutting equipment off when not in use or by <br /> reducing the maximum idling time to 5 minutes, as required by the Califo�nia airbarne <br /> to�rics control measuxe Title 13, Section 2485 of California Code of Regularion. Clear <br /> signage rega.rding idling time requirements shaIl i�e provided for construct�on workers at <br /> aIl access points. <br /> • All construction equipment shall be maintained and propexly tuned in accordance with <br /> manufacturer's specifications. All equipment shall be checked bp a certified visible <br /> emissions evaluator. <br /> • The Contractor shall post a publiclp visible sign with the telephone number and person <br /> to contact at the lead agencp regaxding dust complaints. This person shall respond and <br /> take corrective action cvithin 48 hours. The Bay Area�ir Qualiry Management District's <br /> phone number shall also be visible to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. <br /> With the inclusion of these mitiga.tion measures, the impact of the proposed project on air qualtty <br /> would be less than significant.
