The northern harrier has a low patential to occur due to the presence of <br /> potential foraging habitat pxesent in areas adjacent to the project area. <br /> Raosting Bats. Special�status bat species that have the potenrial to occu�within the project axea <br /> include the big brown bat (Eptesicusfu.rcas),Brazilian fxee-tailed bat (Tadarida bra.sili�esa�),and the Yuma <br /> myoris (Myoti.sys�manesis). Mines,bridges, caves,tock outcxops, and trees have are suitable habitat for <br /> roosting bats. The Convention Way bridge spanning Redwood Creek and the US 101 bridge <br /> overpass are both considered suitable night-roosting habitat. Na toosring bats were observed during <br /> the recannaissance level survey. <br /> EFH Fish Species. The southern portion of San Francisco Bay is classified as EFH under the <br /> FCMA. Qf the 22 classified fish, seven species undex the FCMA were identified as having low <br /> potenrial to occur in or neax the project area including the big ska.te,rex sole,California skate,English <br /> so�e,leopard shark, staxry flounder, and the sand sole. The site assessment conducted for the BRS <br /> found no evidence of anp of these EFH fish species in the project area. Consultation with NMFS <br /> would occur for EFH habitat prior to issuing approval for the Proj�ct. <br /> IV.
