The proposed <br /> construction acrivity for the storm drain pump station and US 101 undercrossing would result in <br /> surface disturbance of 1.2 acres and would require formal notification and submittats under the <br /> general permit for construction stormwater dischaxges. The City would file a Notice af Intenrion to <br /> comply with the Califomia General Storm Water Construcrion Permit(Order No. 2012-Ofl6-DW� <br /> and would submit a SWI'PI'to the SFRWQCB. T1�e City would incorpaxate BMI's for preventing <br /> contarninants and sedimentation from construction acrivity from entering stormwater and affecting <br /> the water quality in Redwood Cxeek. The City would prepare an Emergency Response Plan {ERP) <br /> that would require storage and containment of potentia.l spills of hydrocarbon fuels, concrete <br /> wastewater, or sanitary wastes during construcrion. Clearung, fueling, or any maintenance of <br /> construction equipment woula take place in designated staging areas at least 100 feet away fxom any <br /> sensirive areas and Redwood Creek. A cofferdam would isolate tlae impacts of the car�struc�ion <br /> activity on creek bank from the waters in Redwaod Creek; the dam would be installed during low <br /> tide,also reducir�g impacts to water quality. Erosion control measures would be implemented on <br /> land surface disturbance upland of Redwood Creek,and the project would incorporate the designated <br /> measures in the NPDES compliance checklist in Append�Z. The BRS in Appendix D lists <br /> additional measures to protect watex quality.With the implementation of all proposed mitigation <br /> measures,the impacts of construcrion and operation of the project on water quality would be less <br /> than significant. <br /> There would be no discharge to surface or graundwater during dewatering af the wet well and the <br /> cofferdam atea.
