7.1 .A. - Page 3 FUNDING AGREEMENT FISCAL YEARS 2013 AND 2014 SAN MATEO COUNTY NEW MEASL7RE A SHUTTLE PROGRAM FUNDS CITY OF REDWOOD CITY This FLTNDING AGREEMENT ("AgreemenY') is made this day of , 201_,by and between the SAN MATEO COUNTY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY("TA")and the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY("SPONSOR"), together referred to herein as the"Parties." RECITALS WHEI2EAS,on November 2,2004, the voters of San Mateo County approved the continuation of the collection and distribution by the TA of the Measm�e A half cent transaction an�use tas for an additiona125 years to unplement the 2004 Transportation Expenditure Plan, beginning Januaty 1,2009 ("New Measure A"); and WFIEREAS, SPONSOR submitted applications requesting a total of$241,811 ($1 I7,957 for Fiscal Year 2013 and$123,854 for Fiscal Year 2014) in New Measure A funds far the implementation of Climate Best Express Shuttle and Midpoint Caltrain Shuttle ("ProjecY') as described in Exhibit A.1 and A.2, "Route Description(s) and Information," which is attached to the Agreement and incorparated herein by this reference; and WHEREAS,the Project meets the intent of the 2004 Transportation Expenditure Plan and the TA's 2009-2013 Strategic Plan; and WHEREAS,on June 7, 2012, the TA's Board of Directars programmed and allocated from the New Measure A I,ocal Shuttle Program category for the Project: $53,617 for FY2013 and $56,297 for FY 2014 for the Climate Best Express Shuttle; $64,340 for FY2013 and$67,557 for FY2014 for the Midpoint Caltrain Shuttle flu�ough Resolution 2012-13; and WH�REAS, the TA and SPONSOR desire to adopt this Agreement to establish the process, terms and conditions governing the allocation and expenditure of New Measure A funds on the Project. Now therefore,the Parties agree as follows: SECTION 1: Project Oversight and Reporting 1.1 SPONSOR Oversieht; Work Plan.
