7.3.A. - Page 4 04-SM-101-5.1/6.0 <br /> EA: 23536 <br /> Project Number: 0 41 400 00 41 <br /> Agreement 04- 2512 <br /> COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT <br /> State Independent Quality Assurance (IQA) <br /> This Agreement, effective on , is between the State of <br /> California, acting through its Department of Transportation,referred to as CALTRANS, and: <br /> City of Redwood City, a Charter City and a municipal corporation of the State of California, <br /> referred to hereinafter as CITY. <br /> RECITALS <br /> 1. PARTNERS are authorized to enter into a cooperative agreement for improvements to the state <br /> highway system(SHS)per the California Streets and Highways Code sections 114 and 130. <br /> 2. Far the purpose of this Agreement, the City of Redwood City is proposing to upgrade the State <br /> Route 101/84 interchange and provide local street improvements, which improvements will be <br /> referred to hereinafter as PROJECT. <br /> 3. All responsibilities assigned in this Agreement will be referred to hereinafter as OBLIGATIONS. <br /> 4. This Agreement includes only the following PROJECT COMPONENTS: <br /> • Project Approval and Environmental Document(PA&ED). <br /> 5. This Agreement is separate from and does not modify or replace any other cooperative agreement <br /> or memorandum of understanding between PARTNERS regarding the PROJECT. <br /> 6. The Project Initiation Document (PID) was completed priar to this Agreement. A Project Study <br /> Report-Project Development Support ar (PSR-PDS) was approved by CALTRANS on September <br /> 20, 2000 and a Supplemental PSR-PDS was approved by CALTRANS on June 13, 2006. <br /> 7. In this Agreement capitalized words represent defined terms and acronyms. <br /> 8. PARTNERS hereby set forth the terms, covenants, and conditions of this Agreement, under which <br /> they will accomplish OBLIGATIONS. <br /> RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> 9. CITY is SPONSOR for 100%of PROJECT. <br /> 10. CITY is the only FiJNDING PARTNER for this Agreement. CITY will fund wark activities using <br /> local fund sources.
