' II I 'II City of Redwood City 1400 Roosevelt Avenue Renovation December 9,2003 Pre-Design We will work with City of Redwood City staff to obtain existing documents for 1400 Rooseveit, as this wiii minimize the cost of our services in creoting permit and construction documents. We will review the existing POT, path of travel, and document in non-graphic, written form our observations of those buiiding components, which are subject to certification of compliance or non- complionce. This will provide a basis for assessing the extent of non-compliance and estimating which project expenditures wiii be devoted to accessibility upgrade priorities. Shouid we confirm that this is not a requirement for permit review of City projects, we will deiete this scope from our proposal. The Process A site review to document physical dimensions and accessibiiity barrier compiiance from site entry to each building component. The Deliverables A written report on the POT, this wiii be a concise report documenting those eiements of the POT which may require upgrade. Schematic Design and Design Development Assuming the use of existing documents, we wiii prepare a 1/8" key pian and 1/4" scope of work plan. We'ii use these plans to represent extent of finishes and to sketch our proposed update of the restrooms. We wiii create two coior palettes of appropriate materiais. in each paiette we wiii provide you with options for coior. pattern and manufacturer. The materiais to be presented include: fioor finishes a corridor waii covering waii paint coiors a paint coior for the existing acoustic tiie ceilings a restroom FRP panei coior an add alternate carpet for multi-purpose rooms a paint color re-using existing toiiet partitions an add aiternate for new toilet partitions The Present our initial coior palettes and sketch plans for your review and comment.
