3.b Prepare 75% Design Plans and Cost <br /> After the 35% comments have been resolved, Consultant will prepare 75°/a design level plans and a <br /> construction cost estimate. These plans will include all anticipated sheets and present the complete <br /> project design including final layout design, grading plans, final drainage plans, utility relocation <br /> plans, temporary storm water treatment, construction staging and traffic handling plans, and <br /> quantity sheets. The construetion cost estimate will be updated using the 75% quantities and any <br /> additional options that have been agreed on with the City. <br /> 3. c Prepare Draft Specifications <br /> Consultant will prepare the draft construction specifications including both the technical <br /> specifications and the administrative specifications based on the City's boilerplate contract <br /> documents. <br /> Task 3 Deliverables <br /> • Response to 35%comments <br /> • 75% level project plans in AutoCAD and PDF <br /> • 75%level construction cost estimate in Excel <br /> • Draft construction contract specifications in Word <br /> TASK 4—FINAL DESIGN <br /> 4. a Prepare 100% Plans and Cost <br /> After receipt of the review comments on the 75% submittal, Consultant will prepare a response to <br /> comments and resolve all responses with the City. Consultant will prepare final 100% plans <br /> including all details. Consultant will prepare a final construction cost estimate based on the 100% <br /> complete plans. Any necessary adjustments to the added options will be discussed with the City <br /> and implemented. <br /> 4. b Prepare Final Specifications <br /> Consultant will prepare the final construction specifications based on the City comments on the <br /> draft specifications review. The final specifications will include all construction contract <br /> requirements. <br /> 4.c Prepare Construction Bid Package <br /> After City review and comment on the 100% submittal, Consultant will incorporate all comments <br /> and produce a final set of construction contract documents ready for the City to put out to bid. <br /> Task 4 Deliverables: <br /> • 100% plans,specifications and estimate(PS&E) <br /> • Final contract documents <br /> • All final documents as source files (e.g. AutoCAD,Word and Excel) <br /> • All final documents in PDF format <br /> TASK 5—CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING SUPPORT <br /> 5.a Bid Period Support <br /> Consultant will provide bid period support by attending the pre-bid conference and responding to <br /> questions during the bid period. It is assumed the City will administer the bid process and be the <br /> central point of contact for contractors with bid questions. <br /> 5.b Construction Period Support <br /> It is assumed the City will administer the construction contract and provide the daily inspection. <br /> Consultant will provide construction support during the construction period consisting of review of <br /> contractor submittals to provide input to the City engineer, and providing responses to contractor <br /> ATTY/AGR/2013.216/MARK THOMAS&CO <br /> REV:11-7-13 VR <br /> Page 12 of 14 <br />
