estimate of probable construction cost; listing of required permits and easements; and a utility
conflict log, with accompanying utility notification letter per Redwood City Standards.
Task 2 Deliverables:
• Draft and Final Pre Design Report Supplement,
• Risk Register, and
• Utility notification letter
Task 3 initial Design (75% Submittal)
Task 3 will include the development of the 75% design documents consisting of drawings,
specifications, design calculations and an opinion of probable cost. Documents for the 75%
submit#al will be prepared based on design information obtained during the Pre Design Report
Evaluation (see Task 2), as well as from City review and comments on the Pre Design Report
Supplement and the accompanying conceptual design documents. The 75% documents will
confirm permanent and temporary easements, utility conflicts and any necessary utility
relocations, erosion control and stabilization requirements, pipeline connections, tunneling
layout, staging areas, jacking and exit shafts and res#oration requirements.
The Task 3 design phases are broken down into three subtasks for the design deliverables and
they include the following:
Task 3- 75% Drawings
Task 3-2 75°/a Specifications
Task 3-3 75% Opinion of Probable Cost
Consultant will prepare updated base mapping for the alignment starting with digital field survey
information (from Consultant's surveyar) and existing mapping provided by the City. These
materials will form the basis for development of the drawing submittals.
During the 75% design document preparation the consultant will hold weekly coordination
meetings with the design team fo keep the project team up to date on the latest developments
on the project and coordinate the work load.
75% Design submittal will include:
Plans - demolition, site grading and piping, plan and profile drawings, general and
construction notes, connection and structural details, location of jacking and receiving
shafts, temporary construction easements, utility locations and possible staging areas:
Specifications-contract requirements, technical specifications and utility contacts.
• Design calculations
• Engineer's estimate of probable cost
REV: 12-05-13 VR
ATTY/AG R.2013.240/KennedyJenks_237900
