7.1.A. - Page 46
e. Result in a determination by the wastewater treatment
provider which serves or may serve the project that it
has adequate capacity to serve the project's projected
demand in addition to the provider's existing
commitments?
f. Be served by a landfill with sufficient permitted
capacity to accommodate the project's solid waste
disposal needs?
g. Comply with federal, state, and local statutes and
regulations related to solid
waste?
ANALYSIS: Public utility lines within Redwood City streets include water, sewer and storm drain lines,
telephone and television cables, and gas and electricity lines. The City maintains the potable water,
sanitary sewer, and storm drainage infrastructure in the project area. The project does not require the
new construction of any of these facilities. PG&E maintains the natural gas and electric transmission and
distribution facilities within the project area. Underground telephone cables are maintained and
operated by AT&T and long distance companies. There may also be fiber optic cables within the project
area.
The project will not result in any exceedence of RWQCB wastewater treatment requirements, and would
not affect SBSA's wastewater treatment plant permit conditions or wastewater treatment capacity. In
fact, the project will result in reduced wastewater discharges from the use of recycled water. As noted in
the project description, SBSA will have adequate capacity to provide recycled water to the system. The
project involves the construction of recycled water conveyance facilities including pipelines, storage
reservoir(s), pump station, and on-site customer facilities. As demonstrated in this document, the
construction and operation of these facilities will not result in significant environmental effects.
Operation of the project will not produce any solid waste. In addition, there is sufficiently permitted
landfill capacity to accommodate the project construction's solid waste disposal needs. Project
construction will comply with all applicable solid waste regulations.
17. MANDATORY FINDINGS OF SIGNIFICANCE. Would the project:
32
