Vice Mayor Ruskin reported that he had attended the American Legion Local Post Dinner <br /> honoring and receiving the American Legion National Commander, Anthony G. Jordan. <br />- He presented him, on behalf of the Mayor and City Council, with a key to the City and a <br /> proclamation welcoming him and honoring him and the Legion. <br /> C. Mayor Howard made the following announcements: (~o3'> <br /> DARE graduation is on January 21 at Red Morton Center. She invited her colleagues and <br /> the community to attend. She said it is a wonderful program that teaches our elementary <br /> school students to say "no to drugs and alcohol." <br /> The State of the City will be hosted by the Chamber of Commerce on January 23, at 7:30 <br /> a.m. at the Sequoia Club. Mayor Howard invited everyone to attend. <br /> The Council Workshop will be on January 31, hosted by Harris Industries in Redwood <br /> Shores. She reported that they have graciously offered their facilities and will provide <br /> food for this event. She invited everyone to attend. The workshop will be advertised <br /> indicating the date and location. <br /> On January 30 a party will be held at the Pacific Athletic Club for Georgi LaBerge <br /> thanking her for her many years of outstanding community service. <br /> Mayor Howard thanked City employees for the wonderful job of gift wrapping and gift <br /> giving during the Christmas Holidays. INSTALLATION OF ALL-WAY STOP SIGNS AT mE INTERSECTION OF FARM <br /> HILL BOULEVARD AND EMERALD HILL ROAD - RICHARD HAYGOOD, TRAFFIC <br /> ENGINEER (1f)/) <br /> REPORT: Traffic Engineer Haygood, January 5, 1998 <br /> Traffic Engineer Haygood reviewed the staff report and described the input from the <br /> residents on Farm Hill Boulevard. He advised that the City's consultant, Meyers, <br /> Mohaddes Associates, had developed several traffic calming measures, which would be <br /> implemented in phases.
