INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCE: Extension of Interim Urgency Ordinance <br /> Establishing a Moratorium on Development of Parcels Zoned "Tidal Plain" ("TP") in <br /> Redwood Shores; (100) <br /> Affidavit of notice of publication on file in the City Clerk Department. <br /> 1. Staff Report; <br /> Senior Planner Passanisi presented the staff report, and described the goals of the <br /> first 45-day development moratorium, and the proposed extension. Planner Passanisi <br /> showed an overhead slide of the four parcels in the area zoned "TP" in Redwood <br /> Shores affected by the moratorium, and said that staff needed more time to study <br /> possible land uses. He said a subcommittee studying this issue had been established, <br /> and advised that its work program was in the agenda packet. Planner Passanisi said the <br /> subcommittee would work closely with SBSA, and estimated that the study would take <br /> about six months. <br /> In response to Council Member Leipzig's questions, Planner Passanisi said although <br /> the moratorium would be extended the maximum of ten months, staff expected the <br /> actual work to take approximately six months. He said that all the members of the <br /> subcommittee had been notified and their first meeting was scheduled for February 25, <br /> 1998.
