days of the Consultant's engineering team's time to assess all major visible, above-ground systems at the
following pump stations:
Price
Veterans
Maple
Oddstadt '
Kmart
Bradford
The pump station condition assessment task includes the development of a Technical Memorandum
documenting the inspections. It is assumed the assessments will be visual assessments only and will nat
inciude diagnostic testing or entry into confined spaces.
Deliverable:Technicai Memorandum Documenting Pump Station Inspections.
Schedule: to be campleted by April 30,2014.
2. tarm Drainge Pipe Trunks
Consultant's inspection of storm drainage pipe trunks shall include facilities selected in coordination with the
Ciry. The outfalls for each of the pump stations shail also need to be inspected by Consultant for
sedimentation and gate operation.
Consultant shall work with Remote inspection Technologies (RIT) to use their services to geo-locate and to
inspect existing pipe lines. These ae robotic platforms with multiple sensor suites specifically designed for
the internal assessment of a variery of pipeline types.This technique can provide spatial and elevation (X,Y,Z}
information, pipe sizes (via a laser or sonar scan), still images, and videos. The scans and videos will allow
assessment of service conditions along pipe systems.
Plan for Field Surveys and Inspection: Consultant shall perform each task as follows:
1. Prepare Overall GIS Map from database. The map will show all the City facilities.
2. Gategorize facilities by size and geometry, age(for those with as-builts),known service problems, etc.
3. Define facilities to be inspected. These remote pipe inspections can be prioritized based on known
problems, age, sedimentation probability, and other similar factors with input from the City.
4. Prepare Inspection Plan. The plan will define which pipes will include: 1.Visuaf inspeetion (SD or HD
camera),2.Size and sediment information (LIDAR modeling).
5. Implement Inspection and Field Survey plans.
A thorough QA/AC process shall be developed and followed by Consultant prior to incorporating the new
data into the database.
Dliverable:Video and Documentation of Storm Drainage Pipe Inspections.
Schedule: to be completed by May 31,2014.
Task S: Capital Improvernent Ftan Development, Master Plan Repart
Preparation
REV:01-15-14 J5
ATTY/AGR.2014. 007/Wood Rodgers Storm Plan
