Award of Financial Reporting Achievement from the Government Finance Officers <br /> Association to Redwood City Finance Director Ponty and his staff; (207) <br /> Mayor Howard read the Certificate of Achievement and presented it to Finanee Direetor <br /> Ponty, who thanked the Council for acknowledging the eleventh year in a row that the <br /> Redwood City Finance Department has been so honored. Director Ponty also thanked his <br /> staff for their outstanding work, and introduced members of his staff seated in the <br /> audience: Financial Services Manager Somers, Information Technology Manager Gipe, <br /> Senior Accountant Weinstock, Senior Accountant Lennon, Account Clerk Greene, <br /> Account Clerk Wong, and Administrative Assistant Jennings. <br /> MEMO 12/9/97 <br /> ------______n______---------------------______nn_____-______n______--______nn____n_nn______------______n___---- <br /> B. Presentation of City retirement plaque to Ed Nordness for his long and productive tenure <br /> on the Park and Recreation Commission; (207) <br /> Mayor Howard thanked Mr. Nordness for his long and continuing commitment to <br /> quality of life issues in Redwood City, and presented him with a City plaque in honor of <br /> his outstanding service on the Park and Recreation Commission. Mayor Howard said that <br /> Mr. Nordness had recently moved to San Carlos, but would remain active in Redwood <br /> - City projects. <br /> Pauline Truseelli, Chair of the Park and Recreation Commission, thanked Mr. Nordness <br /> for supporting and assisting her and Redwood City through the years, and commended him <br /> for his accomplishments on the Park and Recreation Commission. Mrs. Truscelli said she <br /> would miss Mr. Nordness terribly and gave him a big hug. <br /> Mr. Nordness thanked City Manager Everett, Mayor Howard, the Council, his fellow <br /> Park and Recreation Commissioners, and the Park and Recreation staff for their long, hard <br /> work and the pride they take in Redwood City. <br /> MEMO 12/9/97 <br /> --------------------------------------------______n__-----______n______------------------------------------------------ <br /> 2.
