ATrACF 8.A. - Page 33 <br /> 53. Boat docks shall be provided with a wharf style dry-standpipe system. <br /> Piping size shall be no less than 4" and discharges shall be gated 2-1/2" <br /> NH. Spacing between standpipes shall not exceed 200'. <br /> 54. The outside turning radius of a fire apparatus access road shall be a <br /> minimum of 61 feet with a maximum inside turning radius of 28 feet. Both <br /> radii shall share the same center point. (IFC 503.2.4) <br /> 55. Fire apparatus access roads shall have an unobstructed vertical clearance <br /> of not less than 13 feet 6 inches. (IFC 503.2.1) <br /> 56. Fire apparatus access roads shall be designed and maintained to support <br /> the imposed loads of fire apparatus [American Association of State Highway <br /> and Transportation Officials H-20 Standard] and shall be provided with a <br /> surface so as to provide all-weather driving capabilities. (IFC 503.2.3) <br /> 57. All designated fire lanes shall be marked in accordance with Section <br /> 22500.1 of the California Vehicle Code. <br /> 58. An approved automatic fire sprinkler system shall be installed in all new <br /> buildings or structures with a total floor area of three thousand (3,000) <br /> square feet or more as set forth in Ordinance 2326. <br /> 59. Class I standpipe systems shall be provided in new buildings and structures <br /> where the floor level of the highest story is located more than 30 feet above <br /> the lowest level of Fire Department vehicle access. (IFC 905) <br /> 60. Standpipe systems shall be provided as set forth in Sections 905.3.1 <br /> through 905.3.7 of the Fire Code. (IFC 905.3) <br /> 61. The required fire flow at the minimum residual pressure of 20 psi shall be <br /> required. (IFC Appendix B) <br /> 62. The minimum number of fire hydrants and spacing requirements available <br /> to the building shall not be less than that listed in International Fire Code <br /> Appendix C, unless an alternative method or means of protection has been <br /> approved by the Fire Marshal. <br /> 63. All valves controlling the water supply for automatic fire sprinkler systems, <br /> pumps, and water flow switches on all fire sprinkler systems shall be <br /> electronically supervised. (IFC 903.4) <br /> 64. A manual fire alarm system shall be installed in Group R-2 occupancies. <br /> Manual fire alarm boxes are not required throughout the building when the <br /> building is equipped throughout with an automatic fire sprinkler system and <br /> notification appliances activate upon sprinkler flow. At least one manual <br /> station shall be installed at an approved location.
