MIG F 8.A. - Page 167
City of Redwood City Revised Elm Auaenaurn
January 22, 2014 Page 1-8
Upon certification of the 2003 EIR, however, the City Council determined that some of the
transportation and circulation mitigation measures, while technically feasible, were cost-
prohibitive and would require extensive coordination with State agencies. The City Council,
therefore, adopted a Statement of Overriding Considerations with three additional significant
unavoidable impacts, for a project total of 28 significant unavoidable impacts.
This revised Addendum concludes that, because the current Pete's Harbor project is
substantially reduced from the Pete's Harbor portion of the 2003 project (e.g., 222 fewer
residential units, maximum building height reduced from 240 feet [five buildings] to 75 feet [one
building]), the reduced-scale Pete's Harbor project would result in a total of one significant
unavoidable impact, which would be a cumulative traffic impact at El Camino Real/Whipple
Avenue.
Consistent with Section 15162(a) of the CEQA Guidelines, this significant unavoidable impact
identified in this revised Addendum is not a new or more severe impact than that identified in the
2003 EIR.
T.110695 Pete's Harbor EIR Addendumlrevised addendum no 211(10695-01).doc
