MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST (203)
This item limited to fifteen minutes.
A. Councilman Claire reported on a news broadcast regarding the steps taken by the railroads
"to prevent pedestrians ITom getting killed on the tracks. I was rather upset that KPIX
identified what they called Redwood City. It was not Redwood City it was the County."
He expressed concern that a proposed fence would not be effective. Councilman Claire
asked that this matter be put on an upcoming Council meeting for a discussion on an
appropriate way to traverse those tracks, so the people who reside in the County and wanted
to shop in Redwood City could reach their destination safely.
- MEMO 4/22/97
REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING MINUTE BOOK NO. 55 APRIL 21,1997
MINUTES Page No. 263 PAGE 11
