<br /> I I I II <br /> <br /> Mayor Hartnett explained how the public hearings would be conducted and briefly <br /> explained the substance of the Appeals and related matters appearing on the agenda. <br /> --- "The Redwood City Council will hold combined public hearings on the application of <br /> Classic Communities to construct a 26 unit residential development on a 2.1 acre site at <br /> 2150 Roosevelt Avenue. The hearings include three Appeals, a proposed General Plan <br /> amendment and proposed Zoning Ordinance amendments. <br /> LOCATION: 2150 Roosevelt Avenue; Lots 3, 4, 5, 6 and 13 of Block 9, Redwood <br /> Terrace No.4; APN 058-392-020; "CN" (Neighborhood Commercial) District; <br /> The appeals are as follows: <br /> APPEALS NO.1 and 2: Appeals by Martin Kampf and Melanie Thompson of the <br /> Planning Commission's decision to certify the Environmental Assessment (Negative <br /> Declaration.) <br /> APPEAL NO.3: Appeal by Ronald Vane of the Planning Commission's approval of a <br /> Tentative map and Planned Development Permit. <br /> In addition to the above action, the City Council held public hearings on the following <br /> items in accordance with Redwood City Code Sections 18.65 (General Plan) and Zoning <br /> Ordinance Article 41. Action was deferred to the May 12, 1997 regular Council meeting: <br /> - RESOLUTION ofIntention of the Planning commission for a General Plan Amendment to <br /> change the land use designation of 2.1 acres ITom Neighborhood Commercial/Office to <br /> Medium Density Residential; <br /> RESOLUTION of Intention to amend the zoning Ordinance to create a Single-Family- <br /> Medium Density Residential designation (SF-MD) that would establish standards to allow <br /> for single-family detached residences on smaller lots and at higher densities than is <br /> currently permitted for single-family residences; <br /> RESOLUTION of Intention to rezone the site ITom "CN" (Neighborhood Commercial) <br /> District to the above residential zone "SF-MD" (Single-Family Residential-Medium <br /> Density) District." <br /> Everyone who intended to give testimony regarding this matter stood and was sworn in <br /> by the City Clerk. <br /> MEMO 5/5/97 <br /> 1.
