Mr. Lockhart referred to the Don't tread on me flag at <br /> 751 Canyon Road, and said he was afraid of Mr. Wolfskill. <br /> Marie Imlach-VauDell, 110 Orchard Avenue, Redwood City, spoke in support of the <br /> day care home which her son, Tyler, attends, and said it wouldn't be fair to take him <br /> away frorn his friends by making Mrs. Sartain reduce the number of children she can <br /> care for. She said she does not use the easement. <br /> - <br /> Gail McAlovey, 754 Canyon Road, said she lives across from the appellant and has <br /> not noticed an increase in traffic since the day care home opened. She said she has told <br /> the parents of the day care home children they can always use her driveway if they do <br /> not want to use the easement or steep driveway at 743 Canyon Road. She said it used <br /> to be a great and very friendly neighborhood, but now she has to look out on the Don't <br /> tread on me flag. <br /> Mary Purcell, 1699 Alameda, Redwood City, said has operated a family day care <br /> home out of her home for the past nine years. Mrs. Purcell said the day care industry <br /> had come a long way and now DCI offers wonderful insurance. Mrs. Purcell said she <br /> was an experienced title officer and described the easement and ownership. She also <br /> talked about Redwood City 2000, Redwood City's generosity to day care providers, <br /> use of accessory dwellings, and said she "felt for both parties." <br /> Albertha Stoney, 1081 Sunset Drive, San Carlos, President of the Family Day Care <br /> Association of San Mateo County, spoke in support of Michele Sartain, "a fellow <br /> provider and soon to be Board Mernber of the Family Day Care Association."
