(604) <br /> REPORT: Police Sergeant Matuszak, August 14, 1997 <br /> Councilman Leipzig asked if this was the same weekend as other City events, such as <br /> the Climate Best Fest. Sergeant Matuszak said the Climate Best Fest would be held on <br /> the September 21 ,1 weekend. <br /> Councilwoman Buchan said the Taste of the Shores festival was scheduled for the <br /> weekend of September 13, and the Climate Best Fest as well as the Port's 60th <br /> Anniversary Festivities were scheduled for the following weekend. <br /> Councilman Leipzig said he felt it was important to support the Taste of the Shores <br /> event, that it was its second year and was a great event. Councilman Leipzig said, "we <br /> need to come together as a community instead of dividing ourselves and celebrating <br /> other country's independence.
