Annual General Plan Progress Report for Calendar Year 2013 <br /> 2013 <br /> Program Number Program Description Status Date Completed 2013 Update co <br /> Program BE-138 Water Master Plan I/A The Water Master Plan was adopted on June 13,2011 and will be updated every 5 years. <br /> Program BE-139 Expand Recycled Water Use I/O Staff is working on delivering recycled water to an area west of US 101. <br /> CD <br /> Program BE-140 Sewer Master Plan C/A 01/01/13 The Sewer Master Plan was updated in January 2013. W <br /> Program BE-141 Support Recycling Industries I/O The City continues to have discussion with the Port and other industrial land uses that support the <br /> recycling and salvage businesses in the area. <br /> Program BE-142 Accommodate Alternative I/O During 2013,the City relocated two electric vehicle charging stations from the Middlefield parking <br /> Energy Infrastructure lot to Redwood Shores Library parking lot. The City also installed one additional charging station <br /> at the same location. <br /> Program BE-143 Waste Diversion TBI The City is developing a construction and demolition debris ordinance to divert residential and <br /> nonresidential materials from landfills. The first reading is scheduled for the December 9,2013 <br /> Council meeting. <br /> Program BE-144 Recycling and Composting I/O The City continues to work with Recycleworks,Rethink Waste(SBWMA),and Recology to provide <br /> Education and Incentive information,resources,and educational programs on recycling and composting.The community <br /> shredding event put on by Recology is held in the spring of each year at the Municipal Services <br /> Center.Educational inserts are mailed out with utility bills several times per year. The City is <br /> developing a construction and demolition debris ordinance for new construction,demolitions, <br /> alterations and additions to incentivize the diversion of materials from landfill by requiring a <br /> refundable deposit. The proposed ordinance is targeted to be effective in 2014. <br /> Program BE-145 Water System Agency I/A SFPUC Water Supply Improvement Project(WSIP)projects within Redwood City are nearing <br /> Consultation completion.
