Annual General Plan Progress Report for Calendar Year 2013 <br /> 2013 <br /> Program Number Program Description Status Date Completed 2013 Update co <br /> Program H-20 Affordable Housing I/O The City provided$450,000 in federal Home Investment Partnership Act(HOME)funds to a <br /> Development nonprofit(Kainos)to acquire an existing single family home to provide permanent supportive <br /> housing for four adults with developmental disabilities.The City also provided$400,000 in federal cQ <br /> Community Development Block Grant(CDBG)funds to a nonprofit(Mental Health Association)to CD <br /> acquire a site to develop approximately 15 units of permanent supportive housing. Both activities J <br /> will serve extremely low income persons. <br /> Program H-21 First-Time Homebuyer I/O At least one Redwood City single family unit was developed by Habitat for Humanity(Habitat) <br /> Program with the past financial assistance from the City's federal CDBG funds was resold to a First Time <br /> Home Buyer(FTHB). No other FTHB units were assisted during 2013,however several FTHB <br /> workshops were provided by Habitat at the Fair Oaks Community Center and Redwood Shores <br /> Library in Redwood City in an effort to help potential FTHB's with readiness. <br /> Program H-22 Second Units I/O The City is in the process of preparing zoning code amendments to both streamline and offer <br /> incentives for the production of accessory dwelling units. <br /> Program H-23 Alternative Housing Models I/A There is no significant change from 2012.The City will continue to look at alternative housing <br /> models as part of the Housing Element Update in 2014. <br /> Program H-24 Workforce I/O This is an ongoing regional effort that continued in 2013. <br /> Housing/Community Land <br /> Trusts <br /> Program H-25 Outreach Plan I/A City staff reaches out to neighborhood associations with project workshops and presentations and <br /> encourages developers to seek input from local stakeholders.The City's HHCC's goal is to initiate a <br /> comprehensive outreach program in 2012. <br /> Legend Status Instructions <br /> C Completed 1.For programs completed before the Annual Report's time period,indicate a C for the"Status"column and note the date it was completed in the"Date Completed"column. <br /> C/A Completed/Key Accomplishment 2.For programs completed during the Annual Report's time period,indicate C/A for the"Status"column,not the date it was completed in the"Date Completed"column,and add t <br /> I/A In Progress/Key Accomplishments "Notes"column. <br /> I/O In Progress/Ongoing 3.For programs initiated before or during the Annual Report's time period and for those that have attained some key accomplishments,indicate I/A for the"Status"column and nc <br /> TBI To Be Implemented accomplushments in the"Notes"column. <br /> 4.For programs initiated before or during the Annual Report's time period but do not have3 key accomplishments yet,indicate I/O in the"Status"column. for those prgrams that I <br /> processes that city staff do regularly and will not produce any significant accomplushments,use this status. <br /> 5.For prgrams that will be initiated sometime in the future,indicate TBI in the"Status"column.
