PRCS is working with"AFAR"(Advocates For Accessible Recreation)at the Veterans Memorial <br /> Activities Program Senior Center to increase recreation programming for people with disabilities. AFAR also is a <br /> nonprofit organization and is giving money to the program to support activities and staffing needs <br /> 2.All playground renovations are ADA compliant. <br /> Program BC-14 Positive Teen Activities I/O 1. The City is partnering with Sequoia High School's"S.A.F.E."After School Program(health and <br /> recreational activities). 2. The City hosted 40"Leaders In Training"(LIT)for Teens assisting youth <br /> development staff during the summer 3.The Library operated Teen Center that serves 1,000 <br /> unduplicated teens annually 4. The Police Department launched S.C.A.N(Student Advisory <br /> Community Network)to engage youth at both local high schools into community based issues <br /> Project READ expanded the teen tutoring/mentoring program. <br /> Program BC-15 Volunteer Opportunities I/O 1. The Library has 1,400 volunteers annually 2.Staff is working with Acterra on assigning park <br /> volunteers at Stulsaft Park to remove evasive plant species and fix trails 3.The Senior Volunteer <br /> Program continues at the VMSC 4. Leaders in Training volunteers(teens)to support camp <br /> programs and aquatics lessons during the summer 4.Downtown Events Volunteers. <br /> Program BC-16 Senior Activities and I/O 1. Over 3,500 unduplicated Seniors use the VMSC facilities and programs annually with over <br /> Programs 125,000 visits. 2.The City and the YMCA formed a Partnership Task Force studying the feasibility <br /> of building a new intergenerational recreational facility. <br /> i <br /> Program BC-17 Human Services Outreach I/O 1.
