Annual General Plan Progress Report for Calendar Year 2013 <br /> 2013 <br /> Program Number Program Description Status Date Completed 2013 Update co <br /> Program BC-18 Secular and Faith-Based I/O 1. The City and YMCA entered into a partnership agreement to develop a new <br /> Organizations Partnerships Center/Aquatic/Senior complex at Red Morton Park 2. The City received a Sequoia Health Care <br /> District grant to provide physical education programs for 5,000 youth each week during the school <br /> day in partnership with PCC.3.Staff completed a partnership with the First Congregational Church CD <br /> for the Hoover Extended Day program(pilot)that serves youth and families in the evening. <br /> Program BC-19 Sports Fields Interagency I/O The PRCS Sports Manager meets with all youth sports representatives twice a year to develop field <br /> Consultation use matrix. The City and the School District has also developed a comprehensive Joint Use <br /> Agreement for the use of athletic fields. <br /> Health <br /> Program BC-20 Zoning Ordinance TBI The Sequoia Hospital and Kaiser Hospital sites both have Precise Plans which allow for a medical <br /> Amendments campus with supporting uses.In the future,the City will consider the issue of overconcentration <br /> of liquor stores and tobacco retailers,as well as work with County Health on the issue of small- <br /> scale agriculture for commercial sale. <br /> Program BC-21 Farmers'Markets I/O A farmers'market is provided in Downtown Redwood City during the warm weather months and <br /> at the Redwood Shores Library. Also Kaiser Hospital sponsors a farmers'market during the week. <br /> Program BC-22 Health,Transportation, I/O The Veterans Memorial Senior Center has initiated a number of health education forums and free <br /> Economic Development, screenings <br /> Recreation,Education <br /> Forums I <br /> Program BC-23 Healthier Lifestyle Education I/O 1.
