Annual General Plan Progress Report for Calendar Year 2013 <br /> 2013 <br /> Program Number Program Description Status Date Completed 2013 Update <br /> Program BC-48 School District and Art I/O The Civic Cultural Commission provides numerous arts and cultural grants to local schools;there is <br /> Organizations Consultation the Annual Art Contest for K-8th graders;and the City works with schools on art exhibits for <br /> events when possible,and works closely with the Redwood City Art Center on promotions and <br /> event coordination(adding art elements to certain events). Libraries are a viewing site for the <br /> school's art in action. <br /> Governance <br /> Program BC-49 Commissions,Boards,and I/O In 2013,the Planning Commission and Housing and Human Concerns Commission held a joint <br /> Committees Joint Meetings session.The City continues to review the opportunities and benefits of joint sessions between <br /> Commissions and between the Council and its Commissions. <br /> Program BC-50: Diversity in Boards, I/O The City continues to increase and diversify its outreach to advertise Board and Commission <br /> Committees,and recruitments.
