City Engineer Jain <br /> advised that the Kensington Square No. 5 plans were near completion and it was very <br /> necessary that a decision be reached regarding sewer mains in t he area. � <br /> LETTER OF RESIGNATION OF VINCENT RAMBO from the Park and Recreation Commission was by City ,,,,�„ <br /> Clerk Dodge. Councilman Royer moved acceptance with regrets, seconded by Councilman <br /> Spillers , City Clerk to write a letter of appreciation, Councilman Stout commented on <br /> his personal �egret stating that Mr. Rambo had been a very valuable member of the com- <br /> � <br /> mission. Councilman Spillers suggested that someone from the Friendly Acres area be <br /> �� <br /> appointed to fill the unexpired term. Motion carried. <br /> LETTER FROM THE PEN�NSULA CELEBRATION ASSOCIATION requesting permission to erect a grandstand <br /> on City property opposite the City Hall on July 2nd to 5th inclusive. Stands will be <br /> erected and removed by Mathews Conveyor Company of San Carlos and the necessary insur- <br /> ance will be provided. Fermission granted on motion of Councilman Spillers, seconded <br /> by Councilman Royer and carried. <br /> RESUBDIVISION OF PORTION OF' LOT �., BLOCK 1, WOODSIDE ACRES No. 1. The Planning Commission, <br /> at their meeting of l�pril 27th, recommended approval, sub�ect to the following: <br /> l. Deeding the rear 27 feet to the City. <br /> 2. Putting in the necessary sewer lateral at owners expense. <br /> Councilman Royer moved approval subject to the conditions mentioned above, seconded by <br /> Councilman Spillers and carried. <br /> � <br /> R4AYC3R HERKNER REQUESTED PERMISSION TO LEAVE THE STATE for a f'ew days. Councilman Granger <br /> �rr <br /> moved approval, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. Mayor Herkner then <br /> appointed Councilman Royer to act as Mayor pro-tempore during his absence. Councilman <br /> Spillers moved approval, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. <br /> RESOLUTION CALLING ELECTION FOR PROPOSED SCENIC HEIGHTS ANNEXATION. �Attorney Menifee had a <br /> petition opposin� annexation and suggested t he possibility that more than half of the <br /> parcels involved were represented by this petition in which case the Cit9 would neces- <br /> sarily abandon the proposed election. City Attorney Currie called the Council�s atten- <br /> tion to the fact that from the election standpoint, the City was interested in the <br /> registered voters a.nd unless Mr. Menifee� s claim proved to be a fact that City had <br /> already taken the necessary steps to insure the legality of the election. The City <br /> Attorney and Mr. Menifee retired to check the petition and to report back later in the <br /> ��,_�, <br /> meeting. <br /> RRICHELE SACCHI1S REQUEST FOR RESUBDIVISION OF THE EAST PORTiON OF LOT 30, LEE TRACT. Mr. � � <br /> Sacchi is requesting a resubdivision to split the lot which now extends from Nueva <br /> Avenue to Orchard Avenue, each lot to be in excess of 5,000 square feet. The majority <br /> of lots in this area have already been split. Assistant Building Inspector Kreiss "'"� <br /> stated that the applicant requested approval of the Council in order that time might . .,,� <br /> be saved.
