City Attorney Currie reported that the <br /> petition represented approXimately 32 parcels which did not constitute a ma�ority pro- <br /> test, therefore, the resolution calling for the election f'or June lst would be in order. <br /> RESOLUTION No. 1688 calling for the election of Scenic Heights Annexation was offered <br /> by Councilman Granger who moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Spillers, carried on <br /> roll call, Councilmen Jones and Britschgi noted absent. ,,,, <br /> FURTHER DISCUS3ION ON SEWER RENTAL RATES FO�i SCHOOLS. City Manager Rolison advised that <br /> � <br /> there were some new schools which had been paying no sewer rental. Rates had been <br /> scaled down for other schools and resulted in an increase overall of a very small amount. <br /> In order t hat the written consent of t he schools be obtained, the matter was held over <br /> fro one week on motion of Counc3lman Stout, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. <br /> ATTORNEY LANDELSf OPINIORT REGARDING UNION CEMETERY. City Attorney Currie stated that the <br /> opinion was eight pages long and inasmuch as nothing could be done before January when <br /> the State Le�islature convenes, he recommended that the Council discuss the matter at <br /> a study meeting some time in t he future. The matter was set forward 30 days. <br /> COUNCILMAI'� STOUT COMMENTED on the public address system and sug�ested additional microphones <br /> for the City Attorney a nd City Manager provided that the system could carry the extra <br /> load.
