COPY OF A LETTER RECEIVED FROM ROBERT J. LYNN, 345 "G" Street, Redwood City, was received from the County Engineer protesting conditions in and around the Cordilleras Creek at a location of the bridge recently const�ucted. City Sngineer Jain advised th at the � bridge was still under construction, that in hia opinion there �as no obstruction in .r� the channel and at any rate the responsibility was �ith the City of San Carlos, who also received a copy of the above mentioned letter. Then Pollowed a discussion of boundaries of this City and the City of .3 an Carlos as to WHETHER OR NOT THE BOUNDARY was the center of the creek or whether there was a strip oP property in this area "'� �'no man�s Land" . It was suggested that this matter be checked into. � CQMMUNICATION RECEIVED FROM COUNTY MANAGER E. R. STALLINGS regarding praposed revised County Zonin� Ordinance calling particular attention to the section prlhibiting resi- dential uses in Industrial Zone. Councilman Herkner moved the matter be referred to the Planning Commission, seconded by Councilman Jones and carried. � PLANNING COIVIMISSION ADVISED THAT AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHER has baen unable to photograph the area due to poor �i.sibility. This will be done as soon as weather permits. COIINCILNiAN HERKNER REQUESTED A REPORT FROM THE PACIFIC GAS & ELECTRIC COMPANY regarding the approximate percentage of conversion to modern lighting, also the nasnes of streets or areas �rhich have not been modernized to date. CDUNCILMAN BRITSCHGI COMMENTED ON THE LIGAT STANDARD IN THE VICINITY OF THE GER�VIN RESIDENCE it being his opinion that the area would be improved if the nev� standard were installed. After discuasion in which it appeared -that the Gerv�+in�s were unhappy about the recent installation, Councilwoman Tinney volunteered to contact the Gerwins and report back at the meeting of January 18th. MAYOR GRAIdGER REQUES TED INFORb�ATION ON THE PRESENT S TATUS OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF REDWOOD MANOR. City Attorney Currie advised that petitions were now being cireulated and that there was no time limit as to when these petitions should be returned. MAYOR GRAl�TGER REQUESTED THAT THE WATER SYSTEM IN THE REDWOC�D MANOR AREA AND 'I'�iE POSSIBILITY OF' CITY PURCHASING SANIE BE STUDIED. City Manager Rolison stated that 2-inch transite '"� was being used in this area and was causing considerable trouble, also if this part of � the system were purchased, the adjoining territory would very likely be involved. Mayor Granger su�gested thia matter be place on a future study meeting. Agenda. It�AYOR GRANGER STATED THAT A PORTIOlV OF THE CORPORATION YARD paralleling the present Bayshore Highway was the property of' the State and it was his thought that perhaps the State """� would be willing to trade the property for an equal amount on the opposite side of ..� Bayshore. The. State is now leasing this property to the Ci.ty for �50 per year. The committee consisting of the City Engineer, City Attorney and the City Manager �nere directed to contact the State in an effort to get a commitment from them in �rhich they will agree not to dispose of the property to any other person or agenc�.
