Ella Coyle, 2715 Delaware Avenue, protested rezoning as unnecessary and unwarranted, <br /> stating also that the State does not propose to ariden �Iloodside Road at the present time. <br /> Mrs. Vera Eskin, 2711 Delaware Avenue, also protested and quoted sections from Ordinance �' <br /> � <br /> No. 600. She also read som�e excerpts from the County Planning Commisaion minutes of <br /> April 16, 1952, regarding the petition of Mr. Dorman to rezone from R-1 to R-4 in <br /> which the petition was denied. <br /> Mr. Bryant, member of t he Methodist Church Board, stated that the Church was taking a ""'"� <br /> neutral stand in the matter. The following people also spoke in protest of the reZOning .�.�r <br /> to commercial propert�: John Coyle, Mrs. Thelma Weinstein and lt�rs. Rankin. <br /> Councilman Spillers moved close of public hearing, secanded by Councilman Granger, and <br /> carried. Mr. Gleason stated that the HigXilands Club recommended that R-3 zoning be <br /> accepted. Councilman Spillers moved that the above mentioned property be re�oned to <br /> C-1-H. Motion lost for lack of second. Councilman BritsGhgi moved that the property <br /> be rezonsd to R-3 as recommended by the Planning Commission, seconded by Councilman <br /> Spillers and carried on roll call. Councilman Stout moved introduction oP �rdinance <br /> rezoning the propert� from U to R-3, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried on <br /> roll call. Councilman Britschgi moved a five minute recess, seconded by Council:man <br /> Stout and carried. <br /> Recess 9:27 P. M. , reconvened 9;38 P. B�. <br /> � <br /> PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF WZLLIA�►1S TERRITORY. Affidavit of publieation �ras <br /> � <br /> ordered filed. Mayor Herkner announced public hearing and there being no protests, <br /> written or oral, Councilman Britschgi moved cloae of hearing, seconded by Councilman <br /> Spiliers and carried. Councilman Spillers moved introduction of ordinance, seconded <br /> b�r Councilman Jones and carried on roll call. <br /> PUBLIC HE.ARING OF OFFICIAL PLAN LINES OF MARSHALL STREET. Affidavit of publication was <br /> ordered filed. Mayor Herkner announced public hearing and there being no protests, <br /> vrritten or oral, Councilman Spillers moved close of hearing, seconded by Councilman <br /> Royer and carried. Councilman Royer then offered RESOLUTION No. 16qo accepting the <br /> oPficial plan lines of Marshall Street, seconded by Councilman Spillers. On the <br /> question, Councilman Granger stated that in his opinion the Council had already ac- <br /> cepted plan lines for Marshall Street. Planning Commisaioner Joesten stated that the <br /> � <br /> Stecher-Traun� property had held up the acceptance of the plan lines. The plan lines <br /> up for acceptance is from Maple Street to the creek. Motion carried on roll call. ``� <br /> PUBLIC HEARING FOR ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE No. 768 TO ANNEX MELEYCO TERRITORY. Affidavit of <br /> publication �ras ordered filed. Mayor Herkner announced public hearin� and there being <br /> no protests, written or oral, Councilmaxi Spillers moned close of hearing, seconded by �'�'+ <br /> Councilman Stout and carried. Councilman Granger moved adoption of ordinance, seconded A, .,� <br /> b� Councilman Royer and carried on roll call. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING FOR ADOPTION OF ORDIN.ANCE No. 600,1�1�. REZONING FRIENDLY ACRES AREA FROM C-3 <br /> to C-3-H. Affidavit of publication was ordered filed. Mayor Herkner announced public <br /> hearing and there being no protests, written or oral, public hearing was ordered closed <br /> on motion of Councilman Spillers, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br />
